Andrew Pellecchia, MD

Dr. Andrew Pellecchia joined Digestive Disease Medicine in spring 2012 with a practice centered on advanced endoscopic procedures and pancreaticobiliary gastroenterology.  The procedures he performs include Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), ERCP, and advanced endoscopic resections including Endoscopic Mucosal Resection (EMR) and Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection (ESD).

Before joing Disgestive Disease Medicine he was a Gastroenterologist at Crystal Run Healthcare in Middletown, NY and the Director of Advanced Endoscopy at Jacobi Medical Center in Bronx, NY.

In 1998 he received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology from the University of Pennsylvania. He went on to obtain his medical degree in May 2002 from SUNY Upstate Medical University College of Medicine. Dr. Pellecchia completed his residency in internal medicine at Yale New Haven Hospital in 2005.  His Gastroenterology fellowship was completed in June 2008 at Montefiore Medical Center.

Dr. Pellecchia holds his license to practice in the State of New York and is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a member of the American Society for gastrointestinal Endoscopy, American Gastroenterological Association, and the American College of Gastroenterology. He has co- published several articles over several years.

He is an active staff member of Faxton-St. Lukes Healthcare and holds privilages at Eliizabeth Medical Center.
